The Private Group Pty Ltd arose out a partnership, started in 2002. The principle had just retired as a Queensland Police Officer, after 17 years of active service; he had suffered the Chinese curse of "May you live in interesting times" during that service, being involved in, investigating, or controlling, many "one off", and unusual, incidents, making his first armed robbery (double barrel sawn off) capture during his training year, the first time he was nominated for 'bravery' in his working life, eventually placing offenders, successfully, before all levels of court.

He had worked in areas as diverse as the Gold Coast, rural Queensland, and around an Aboriginal community. He had worked in general duties, and CIB, as well as been seconded to specialist units. He had attended Police detective training (long course). He had been appointed a NSW Special Constable,  OIC of stations, and received bravery awards, and commendations.

When he left the Police he obtained training in a multitude of roles, including HR, rehabilitation coordinator, adult training, plant operations, and construction. He had accumulated many skills, and qualifications, before, during, and after his time with the Police (folders full).

He was asked to investigate a work incident. That action resulted in his acquiring his private investigation licence, and, as they say, the rest is history. Over the years a networked of experienced investigators, with varied backgrounds, including ex-Police, developed, and we became The Private Group Pty Ltd, a network of licensed investigators, a private investigation service, with various trading names. The private investigation services we provide changes, to meet client needs.
